Functions of the Department
Coordinating Nursing and Midwifery activities across all public healthcare facilities in the state.
Coordinating posting of newly recruited and existing staff for effective service delivery across all secondary health facilities in the state.
Coordinating maintenance of standards of Nursing practice and education in all Health facilities and Training Institutions in the state.
Supervising Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria final qualifying examination in the State.
Planning, organising, and implementing the Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Programme for Nurses & Midwives.
